OUTCAST FILMS CROSSES THE POND

Outcast Films is happy to announce our collaboration with the 22nd International London Gay and Lesbian Film Festival and in conjunction with the British Film Institute, as we present a retrospective of the work of acclaimed filmmaker Su Friedrich. Entitled DESIRE AND DEFIANCE: THE FILMS OF SU FRIEDRICH, the retrospective will include eight of Friedrich’s film including SEEING RED, HIDE AND SEEK, DAMNED IF YOU DON’T, THE LESBIAN AVENGERS EAT FIRE , TOO, RULES OF THE ROAD, THE ODDS OF RECOVERY, FIRST COMES LOVE and the classic film SINK OR SWIM. Friedrich will be on hand in London this weekend (April 4th – 6th) at some of the screenings to talk about her work and highly respected film career.

In addition to the Friedrich retrospective at the London fest, Outcast Films is thrilled to report that our latest acquisition, SHE’S A BOY I KNEW by Gwen Haworth, will be playing to a SOLD OUT audience this Thursday April 3rd . Gwen will be on hand at the screening after returning from ANOTHER SOLD OUT screening at the Amnesty International Film Festival screening in The Netherlands. SHE’S A BOY I KNEW, a heart breaking and often comic look at gender and sexuality, has been selected at MORE THAN 20 FILMS FESTIVALS, crossing over from LGBT fests to women’s festivals, documentary festivals, and acclaimed international festivals such as Vancouver, Palm Spring’s and Cleveland.
